Tour Description
For a more extensive search for the Aurora Borealis, embark on a Northern Lights Road Trip.

If Aurora forecasts are more favorable there, options include traveling further, even to Sweden or Norway.

We’ll stop at scenic locations for the best views, adapting the route for the greatest chance of spotting the auroras.

Important to note:

We will sit a lot in the car (if the weather is not suitable near Rovaniemi), and it can be boring as we drive in the darkness.

This tour takes place a maximum of 250 km (~3 hours) from Rovaniemi. If the weather conditions are unfavorable (heavy snowfall!), I will offer to reschedule this tour or cancel it.

Unfavorable conditions mean heavy snowfall and no clear sky within a 250 km distance from Rovaniemi. The cold weather is a normal condition in Lapland in winter 🙂

This is not a photography tour, and no professional photos will be taken of your group, but I do take photos by phone and will guide you on how to use yours.

Not recommended for children under six due to duration and travel distances.

We will drive up even 250 km from Rovaniemi if needed (3-4 hours one way!).

Aurora guarantee?

Northern lights are a natural phenomenon, and we cannot guarantee it – nobody can.

Even though we had a 100% success rate on long tours and an over 90% success rate on short (family) tours last season, the strength of the activity can vary a lot. Sometimes it is only visible by cameras, sometimes dances over the whole sky, and is easily enjoyable with the naked eye too.

The first tour is day 1. So, for example, you participate in a tour on Tuesday, then you can participate again in a second tour on Wednesday or Thursday night.
